Notes

A tree fern from the mountain forests in the Nimba region with spreading leaves clustered at end of unbranched stems. Spines on secondary rachises and a few thorns at the base of the primary rachis. A smaller species is Cyathea camerooniana, also found in the Nimba Mountains. Syn.: Alsophila manniana
