Notes

Shrub or small tree from the rain forests and gallery forests in Sierra Leone, Guinea, and Liberia up to 1400 m altitude, ? 15 m high and 20 cm Ø. Leaves 3 – 6 jugate; leaflets papery to coriaceous; clustered; lanceolate to narrowly elliptic, with 8 – 12 pairs of rather indistinct pairs of laterals; midrib impressed above, usually glabrous. Flowers white; fruits glabrous or nearly so.|Syn.: Trichoscypha smeathmannii
