Notes

Small, mostly riparian or understory tree to 15 m and 30 cm Ø; fruits ovoid, about 10 x 8 cm. Leaves simple, alternate, with a short petiole; acuminate at top, obtuse/cuneate at base; margin entire. ± 10 pairs of curved laterals. BArk fairly smooth when young, but soon showing horizontal wrinkles. Older bark with heavy vertical ridges in addition to the wrinkled character of the bark.
