Notes
Small tree, to 10 m tall and 15 cm Ø, of new soil or river borders. Bark corky on the outside; slash with lighter and darker brown streak, ‘netted’, fragrant. Big leaves of 20 – 30 x 5 – 10 cm, with a stout, canaliculate petiole. Flowers and fruits on stem and branches; flowers yellow with purple dots. Fruit in bundles of free carpels of about 5 x 2 cm, each carpel with several seeds; in drier forest types. Syn.: Uvariodendron mirabile.
