Treelet to 7m of montane forests; leaves up to 30 cm long, finely serrated along the whole edge. Long petiole. ± 10 pairs of laterals. Flowers purplish – white. Leaf densely pubescent below, glabrescent. Syn.: Vernonia ampla.
