Notes
Can grow into a tall tree to 40 m, resembling M. aubrevillei but with very characteristic rusty red-brown foliage. Leaves simple, alternate, reddish-brown pubescent beneath, with a pair of glands at the base. Red monkeys use this tree as a hiding place. See also PROTA database. Syn.: Parinari chrysophylla.
