Notes

Tall forest tree in the semi deciduous forest, with a heavy narrowly buttressed base, resembling Terminalia ivorensis. Bark grooved/scaly. Slash soft and fibrous, yellowish/purplish, soon darkening. Leaves simple, alternate, small, narrowly elliptic, with knotted vein glands, alternate or sub-opposite. Finer venation vague. Fruits 2-winged.
