Often unbranched treelet of the rainforest with (sub)-opposite, leathery, ± glaucous leaves; blade up to 32 x 10 cm, with 7 – 9 pairs of laterals; petiole pubescent; venation ± scalariform, and a pair (or more) of dark glands near the base; underside of blade greyish with numerous dots. Fruits ovoid, with pronounced apical point, up to 4.5 x 2.5 cm, reddish-orange with dense long, orange hairs. Note that the leaves are (sub-)opposite!
