Notes

A medium-sized tree to 18 m tall with branchlets densely covered in brown hairs. Leaves pale and glaucous beneath, with scalariform venation. Bark smooth and hard, slash black outside, yellow inside; sapwood lemon-yellow. Ripe fruits orange. See also PROTA database. Syn.: Diospyros ivorensis.
