Notes

Large shrub or tree, rarely exceeding 18 m and 50 cm Ø, found scattered in semi-deciduous forest and rain forest. Crown small with pendulous branches. Leaves simple, alternate, distichous; bole straight and slender, unbuttressed. The stem of young trees carries spines that disappear later. See also PROTA database. Syn.: Phyllanthus discoideus.
