Little known endemic tree in Liberia and SW Ivory Coast. Leaf paripinnate, the leaflets long-oblong with slender drip tips, the very tip thickened; knotted vein dots scattered along the lamina; midrib finely grooved above; about 10 pairs of laterals, interspersed with much less prominent nerves; midrib channeled above; twigs with dense, rust-coloured, short hairs; thin twigs hollow. Flowers conspicuous yellow-brown with white petals. Fruit a machete-shaped pod of about 13 x 3 cm.
