Small tree to 30 cm Ø, with a straight bole and thin ridges and narrow buttresses, in Liberia found in the Nimba region. Bark vertically grooved and rough; slash hard, fibrous, pale brown, about 6 mm thick, with darker red-brown strips of dilatation tissue. Leaves pinnate with 5 – 7 alternate, ± rhombic leaflets; rachis somewhat zigzag; leaflets markedly gland-dotted below. Pods with many raised glandular warts, pale brown.. See also PROTA database.
