Fairly tall tree in the semi-deciduous forest of higher elevations and rocky sites hills. Slash cream with red exudate. Leaf with 7 – 9 opposite – subopposite leaflets, sometimes with minute stipels; rachis finely pubescent. Fruit a flattened, about 10 cm across, papery disc, slightly bulging over the seed. Tree recently found in the lowlands not far from Monrovia. See also PROTA database.
