Notes

Small, generally twisted tree to 10 m with corky, fissured bark; in drier forest, gallery forest, high altitude, or along rocky river sides in the wet forest. Leaves simple, alternate, obovate, acute, mucronate, very pustulate, the margin recurved; midrib channelled above, with ± 7 pairs of ascending laterals. Fruits globose, about 8 mm, purple when ripe.
