Jansen 1831 (WAG)
Shrub or small tree of river borders, its branches hanging over the water, often with stilt roots. Leaves elliptic, sometimes 3-lobed, with 7 – 12 pairs of laterals, the first pair from the base of the lamina. The angle between the laterals and the midrib is much sharper in M. libericus than in M. serratus. Both have scalariform venation.
