Notes

Mostly a shrub but sometimes a small understory tree of many forest types. Leaves long, elongate-elliptic /oblong-lanceolate, 10 – 30 x 3 – 10 cm, with a finely serrate margin with sharp teeth. Very fine transverse-scalariform venation. Flowers yellow, fruits red. Syn.: Ouratea flava.
