Notes

Rainforest tree, mostly in riverain forest; leaves simple, opposite, with short petiole, no stipules. Slender twigs and petiole soon white-corky. Blade with cuneate base, entire margin, acuminate/caudate tip; 6 – 9 pairs of laterals, impressed above, with or withhout domatia, but if so without tufts of hairs. Short, axial, inflorescences up to 2.5cm long; fruit ± elliptical/rounded, about 1.5 cm, red when ripe, with one seed. Syn.: Linociera mannii.
