Notes

Twisted, branchy tree, mostly on hills and rocky riversides in the dry semi-deciduous forest zone. Slash thick and soft, cream and brown mottled, darkening, with slight iodine smell; twigs corky with conspicuous lenticels. Leaves simple, opposite, no stipules; petiole short, yellow; blade obovate, acuminate, cuneate at base; with entire, ± recurved margin; 9 – 12 pairs of laterals with pitand tuft domatia. Syn.: Linociera africana.
