Notes

A fairly common understory treelet or small tree with zigzagged twigs with yellow hairs when young and small crater or rod-shaped glands on the twig at the nodes. Leaves fairly small, to 10 cm, slightly asymmetric, simple, alternate, with entire margin, acuminate/caudate/mucronate tip, and unequal-sided base. Laterals about 6 looping pairs. Seeds covered with straight hairs. A narrowly related species is C. alba but the laterals indistinct. Seeds covered with curly hairs.
