Notes

A scrambling tree to 15 m, of rocky sites and montane evergreen forest (Nimba). Leaves simple, opposite, with interpetiolar, triangular, keeled stipules; short petiole, ± elliptic, ± asymmetric at base, with 5 – 7 pairs of laterals; finer venation obscure. Domatia present. Twigs hollow. Fruit 2-lobed, slightly longer than wide. Synonym: Rytigynia affinis.
