Notes

Shrub or small understory tree of both primary and secondary forests, reaching 15 cm Ø; leaves, bark and fruits used as poison for fishing. Two leaves at the same node often different in size. Long leaves, unequalsided and ± cordate at base; interpetiolar stipules type 8 with short collar; note the very pronounced venation on the underside of the leaf.F lowers pink/purplish. Fruits big, egg-shaped but pointed, grooved, about 6 x 8 cm.
