Notes

Small tree to 7 m in montane forest, with hollow twigs. Leaves simple, opposite, interpetiolar stipule with awn; petiole short/medium, with a few appressed stiff hairs. Blade 10 – 25 x 3.5 – 10 cm, elliptic, with ± 12 pairs of laterals and the finer venation obscure. Remnants of calyx persistent on top of the 7 x 10 mm obovate fruit.
