Notes

Common “weedy” pioneer tree, without typical Psydrax crown habit, to about 15 m, rarely more, in dry forests. Slash: outer bark brow with grey spots, the living inner bark light yellowish brown, sometimes with some reddish exudate. Leaves simple, opposite, interpetiolar stipules ± type 10;soon falling off; whitish or reddish midrib with pit domatia; margin abruptly decurrent along petiole, thickened, entire or seemingly serrate because of marginal domatia.
