Shrub or treelet with stout stems, by rivers, wet or dry sites. Leaves simple, opposite, with ± 2 cm long, pointed interpetolar stipules, a short petiole, ovaye/oblong, with rounded or cordate base, 15 – 15 x 4 – 7 cm with long spreading hairs below; 10 – 12pairs of hairy laterals.
