Notes

Small tree of the semi deciduous forest, mostly on rocky places, to 15 m. Leaves usually trifoliolate, rarely simple. Syn.: Diphasia angolensis/Diphasia klaineana. Note: a little known species with similar orange hairs, Vepris sp. A, has also been reported from Liberia; the margin is recurved; twigs with rough corky/warty bark.
