Notes

Small to medium tree of river sides and swamps, well-branched. Twigs long velutinous. Leaf 3 – 5 jugate, with (sub)opposite leaflets, the lowers pair very small and often clasping the twig or actually arising on the stem, like round stipules. Tip of the leaflets acuminate and mucronate; petiole flattened; 8 – 12 pairs of laterals. Fruits with long soft hairs, soon falling off.
