Notes

Unbranched or little-branched tree of the rain forest, to 7 m high and 8 cm Ø. Leaves 30 – 70 cm long, with 5 – 7 pairs of not very asymmetrical leaflets. Fruit 3-lobed, hairy, about 2.5 cm long. Syn.: Placodiscus leptostachys. A similar tree but with 8 – 12 pairs of leaflets is P. splendidus (no drawing available).
