Notes

Large, fluted tree of the semi deciduous forest, to 30 m tall and 80 cm Ø. Bark scaly, slash fibrous, pinkish with darker bands, exuding a white latex. . Leaves yellowish or silverynpubescent when seen from below; branchlets densely yellowish hairy; leaves ± distichous. Leaves simple, alternate, sessile or with a very short petiole; lamina slightly cordate at base, sort-acuminate, with long drip tip; margin entire. Fruits slightly flattened, 6 – 7 x 6 cm, with 8 flat seeds.
