Notes

A low-branched understory tree of the deciduous forest and the northern edges of the rainforest, to 18 m, often with fluted bole; bark flaky, papery. New leaves white with dense cotton-like hairs that are shed soon; leaves clustered, silvery white below, obovate/oblanceolate, apex rounded and ± apiculate; base with decurrent base; many pairs of fine parallel laterals. Syn.: Bequaertiodendron oblanceolatum/ Neoboivinella glomeruliflora.
