Notes

A tree up to 30 m high, bole fluted at base, irregular, twisted, up to 170 cm Ø, normally not so large; of lowland evergreen rain-forest, particularly in riparian and swamp forests. Bark with fine brown scales, slash orange-brown or pinkish. Simple, alternate leaves, clustered at end of reddish, lenticellate twigs; blade narrowly elliptic with ± 9 pairs of laterals;venation indistinct. See also PROTA database. Syn.: Afrosersalisia afzelii.
