Notes

A tree to 30 m tall, bole cylindrical, straight, to 70 cm diameter, bearing a dense, rounded, spreading crown; in montane evergreen forests of Guinea to W. Cameroons. Slash pink, with white spots of latex. The wood is pale red-brown, medium coarse. Tree resembling A. afzelii but with larger, more coriaceous leaves. Leaves simple, alternate, clustered at end of lenticellate twigs; more than 10 pairs of distinct laterals. Cauliflorous. Syn.: Afrosersalisia chevalieri/Afrosersalisia cerasifera.
