Notes

Shrub or small understory tree of the rainforest, to 10 cm Ø. Leaf with a petiole of 1 – 8 cm, lamina 12 – 26 x 5 – 10 cm, with minute white scales below. 10 – 15 pairs of laterals, prominent on both sides. Long petiole jointed at both ends. Young parts with soft, dense, orange hairs. Fruit cauliflorous, in bundles of globular, pointed carpels of 1.5 cm on stalks of about 2 cm, glabrous.
