Notes

Shrub or small,little-branched tree; twigs often hollow; tree to 10 m high and 15 cm Ø. Young twigs and leaves densely brown hirsute. Leaves big, with a petiole up to 30 cm , with 5 or more strong basal nerves, cordate, deeply lobed, the lobes deeply dissected and with big teeth on shade leaves, less so on sun leaves. Fruit with 6 – 8 orange-red pubescent carpels, spreading star-like, each 8 – 10 cm long and 1.5 – 2 cm thick, each with 8 – 12 seeds.
