Notes

Small but sometimes bigger tree of the deciduous forest. Trees with whorled branches, slash thick and spongy, with dilatation bands. Leaf (very) asymmetric at base, with stipules with slips, margin with robust serrations. Leaves not with a dense cover of orange hairs like in D. chrysochlamys; softly hairy petiole; base 3-nerved + ± 6 pairs of not basal laterals with orange tuft domatia; venation scalariform. Flowers yellow. Fruit resembling D. chrysochlamys.
