Notes

Shrub or small tree, often used to make hedges because it roots easily from cuttings. Leaves rounded or slightly cordate at base, 3-nerved, the venation wide-scalariform; tuft domatia present; lamina with fine stellate hairs beneath;about 4 laterals;venation lax scalariform. The spindle shaped fruits of about 6 cm long are pointed at both ends and have many longitudinal ridges.
