Notes

A very large tree of the deciduous forests, to 50 m tall and 100 cm Ø. Buttresses thin, low or high soaring; bole generally straight; crown dark and dense, the branchlets drooping. Slash very characteristic, a mottled mixture of white and brown – black spots. Leaves entire, asymmetric, with two steeply ascending basal nerves, glabrous except for tuft domatia on the upper half below. Fruit a 2 cm long drupe, with remnants of the style at the tip.
