Notes

Canopy tree, common in the semi-deciduous forests, but absent in the rainforest, to 40 m tall, little branched when still in the understory. Bark silvery or yellowish; slash contoured with yellow and brown bands, only slowly darkening on exposure. Distinct pair of basal laterals; margin dentattin restricted to upper half; blade with 2 – 4 pairs of laterals;young twigs and petiole with fine orange-brown hairs.Fruits a flattened ovoid red drupe of 12 x 10 mm, with remains of 2 styles at the top.
