Notes

A widespread shrub or small tree, low-branched with horizontal branches, invading open terrain and in secondary bush, reaching a height of 15 m and 20 cm Ø. Leaves rounded or cordate at base, serrate, raspy below. Leaves distichous, 3-nerved at base and ± 2 ascending laterals with a ± traverse scalariform venation. Fruits small drupes of about 3 mm ! Syn.: Trema guineensis.
