Notes

Rare, straight, low buttressed tree with a thick, rough, vertically ribbed bark; slash pale orange with whiter stripes, with white latex. Leaf bearing twigs sometimes hollow. Petiole to 4 cm long; lamina 8 – 25 x 5 – 10 cm, oblong/obovate, with rounded top; 5 – 9 pairs of laterals. Fine venation prominent on both surfaces. Big yellowish green fruits of about 8 x 6.5 cm, 8-lobed, containing 8 flattened, brown seeds, 5.5 x 3 x 2 cm, the ventral scar concave, from top to bottom. Syn.: Endotricha taiensis.
